Learning how to use a computer and get the best out of the internet for the average able bodied person is generally just a matter of going down to a library or community centre. These places tend to have information, advice, guidance and the machinery to help. Some community centres are more accessible than others, with very few IT suites having a range of accessible hardware and software. It can be a matter of confidence or mobility getting there in first place.
UcandoIT is a project aimed at redressing this by providing IT training at home for physically disabled people, enabling and providing options and opportunities to engage in on-line activities such as job seeking, on-line shopping and citizenship.
